New to TBC

We would love to meet you.

We are excited about the opportunity to meet you and are glad you are interested in visiting our church. You’ll find that everything we do as a church is centered around the proclamation of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the application of that truth in our daily lives.  We hope you decide to join us at a weekend service and consider joining our church family.

Step

Get Plugged In

We exist, not as a building or meeting place, but as a body of baptized believers transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ sharing life together with people uniquely equipped for building one another up in love. Much of who we are is centered around being together in small groups.

We offer a variety of small groups that you can connect with.  These groups meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. for prayer and Bible Study.  In addition, we have a Membership 101 class that is designed to help new attendees or those who may be interested in joining our church to understand who we are and what we are about.

FAQ

What should I wear to services?

We want you to be comfortable as you join us for our Services and Small Groups. From suits and dresses to jeans and skirts, you will see our members in a variety of clothing. Generally, our membership dresses in more casual attire.

FAQ

Where do I park?

You are welcome to park wherever you can find a parking place.

FAQ

Is there anything for my children?

We have ministries for children of all ages, including Preschool (birth – K), Children (1st – 5th), Middle School and High School. Childcare is available during our 8:15 am and 10:45 am services for Preschool-aged children.  In the 10:45 am service we have children’s church for grades 1-5.

FAQ

What is a typical Weekend Service like?

YOur 8:15 am and 10:45 am worship services are identical and begin with a time of blended praise and worship followed by expositional preaching and teaching.

FAQ

Do I have to give money if I attend?

No, you are our guest. We do take an offering as part of our worship service to give regular attenders and members of TBC an opportunity to give.  While you are certainly welcome to do so, we do not expect or require you to participate in this portion of the service.

FAQ

Do you celebrate the Lord’s Supper (communion) and do I need to be a member to participate?

We generally celebrate the Lord’s Supper on a quarterly basis and we believe in “open communion”.  What this means is that you do not have to be a member of our church or even a Baptist to participate. We have only two requirements:  1) that you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ and 2) that you examine yourself before partaking in the Lord’s Supper in light of 1 Cor. 11:27-29.

FAQ

Do I have to be Baptist to attend your services and activities?

No. We welcome anyone to attend any part of our services or programs. Many people who attend Temple Baptist Church are from different faith backgrounds.

FAQ

Who should I contact to find out about joining the church or being baptized?

We encourage you to talk to one of our pastors about your desire to join the church or to be baptized. While we may not offer an “invitation” at the end of each service in the traditional sense, we invite anyone attending our services to speak to our pastors and other staff at the end of each service if you have questions.  In addition, you may contact the church office and set up an appointment or e-mail one of them directly.

FAQ

Can I get a copy of the sermons?

Yes.  Each week we post both audio and video versions of our weekend worship service online. You can view or listen online or you can download a copy of the audio for your convenience. If you need a copy of the service in a CD format please contact the church office. In addition, you can watch our services live on the web!  We live-stream our 10:45 am worship service every week.
