As we all know, just a couple of weeks ago, flooding caused a massive amount of destruction across the area. There are still areas that are needing assistance.

The pastor from Central Baptist Church in Eureka, Missouri recently sent this letter asking for assistance from area churches:

. . . . As most of you know, we have hosted disaster relief teams at Central Baptist Church for the last 3 weeks.  We have been blessed by teams from Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, and Mississippi.  As we draw near to time for [Disaster Relief] to leave we are faced with many open work orders.  Many people still need help 3 weeks after the waters have receded.  I ask you, can you please help?  We need folks who could help tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday to try and get done.  You need no experience to help just a willingness to serve.  I am making a plea to you for help to try and accomplish all of the work that needs to be done.  If you can tear out drywall, scoop mud, take up flooring, carry stuff, power wash, love on those in need, then we need your help desperately.  If you can help, and I pray many can, contact the church office at 636-938-5577 and let them know.  Teams generally leave around 7:30 and are back around 5:00.  We will feed your breakfast, lunch, and supper.  We need hands and feet!  Please come and help if you can so we can finish well with the clean up, show folks Christ, and I promise you will be blessed as much as you bless others.  The more that come, the more we complete, and the sooner we can get some rest for many who have been working tirelessly for the last 3 weeks and help folks get back into their homes.

Shalom!
Brother Ned Nugent
