MUSIC FOR SUNDAY AUGUST 12, 2007
Good job last Sunday on “The Potter’s Hand”, though our groups in both services continue to be small, you continue to sing with boldness and clarity, with the power of the Lord flowing through your voices. Remember that we are at the tail end of the summer slump, after labor day we should start to build again, and that growth will continue through Easter. This Sunday we will be singing “Let the River Flow” in both services. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am on Sunday for the early service and again at 10:30 for the second service. Since we are in the summer slump please sing in both services if at all possible.
Nancy Logan will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the Keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Jean Lueken will Play piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service only. The singers will be Sharon Doyle, Christy Jones, Kathy and Bradley Perry.
Choir rehearsal will be at 6:00 pm
Praise Team practice will be at 7:00 pm with Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Kathy and Bradley Perry in attendance.
TRUCKERS CHRISTIAN CHAPEL MINISTRY CONFERENCE
I just wanted to say thank you for singing at the Truckers Christian Chapel Ministry conference last Thursday. I’m still hearing how much people enjoyed it. God used you to encourage and uplift the people who work tirelessly for the Lord in this ministry. Thank you for using your time and talents for the Lord.
CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST
This year we will be celebrating Christmas in August on Saturday, August 25 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is the time every year that we get together to preview the new Christmas program. However just in case that doesn’t sound fun to you, we will also have the option to watch last years Christmas program as well as an old classic Christmas movie. If that doesn’t sound fun to you, just come for the fellowship, or do a little bit of everything. Child care will be provided, so take a break from the heat and bring your favorite Christmas snack and come enjoy the festive Christmas/winter atmosphere as we celebrate once again Christmas in August. Work will begin on the program on Wednesday September 5 during our Labor day weekend Make-up rehearsal.
OPEN CHOIR REHEARSAL
This year we will have another open Choir rehearsal on Sunday evening, September 16 at 6:00 pm. This is an opportunity for anyone interested in Choir to come and experience what it would be like to be a choir member with no obligation. It is also a chance for us to recruit new members. If you know of someone who you think sings well and has a heart for worship, feel free to invite people and encourage them to attend this rehearsal. Last year we gained four new members.
