What to Expect

You'll experience expositional teaching and preaching in our services and a careful study of God’s Word in our Small Groups and Bible Study Classes.
We are a body of born-again believers who are "doing life together."  We desire to build gospel-centered relationships, build one another up, and spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
We aim to intentionally fulfill the mission of Jesus in the world by continuing that which He came to do, reconciling people to God. We are sent out into the world to engage the lost with the Gospel message.
Expect a family atmosphere. We are a church made up of multiple generations of people and families, believers of all ages and all stages of life. We strive to be there for one another, to help one another, and to spend time together in small groups.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. Our worship gatherings are relaxed and we tend to dress in casual attire. However, our services are diverse so you will see people in suits, dresses, jeans, and shorts. Come dressed in what is most comfortable for you.
Where do I park?
We have plenty of parking around the building. For first-time visitors, we recommend parking in the front lot on Beeman St, however, feel free to park wherever you would like.
Where do I enter?
Once you have found a place to park, make your way to the double glass doors of our lobby, just up the steps on Beeman St. This is where you will enter the Worship Center. If you need help finding the restrooms, child care, or small groups, feel free to ask one of our greeters when you enter the foyer. They are available to help you find where you need to go.
Is your church handicap accessible?
Yes. We have elevators to service all floors in our buildings and a ramp at the front foyer to access the Worship Center.

We also have a headphone system for individuals who have difficulty hearing. Headphones are located in the rear of the auditorium at our sound booth. Feel free to ask one of our sound technicians for assistance.

If you need additional assistance or have questions please see one of our greeters when you arrive or call our church office (573) 468-8044.
What is a typical weekend service like?
Our 8:15 am and 10:45 am worship services are identical and begin with a time of praise and worship followed by expositional preaching and teaching. At 9:30 a.m. we have small groups available for every age and every life stage.
Is there anything for children and teens on Sundays?
We have ministries for children of all ages, including Preschool (birth – K), Children (1st – 5th), Middle School and High School.

Childcare is available during our 8:15 am and 10:45 am gatherings for birth through preschool-aged children. Our childcare rooms are located on the first floor of Building B.

We also have children's church available in both gatherings for Kindergarten through fifth grade. The children's church kids sit together in the worship center during worship, on the first few pews on the left side facing the stage. When worship concludes, the children will exit the Worship Center and go to the second floor in Building B, Classroom B213. Parents can pick up their children in this room after the conclusion of the service.

Middle School and High School Students have Small Groups at 9:30 a.m. They will meet together in the youth room, on the second floor of Building B, Classroom B214. After a short meeting together, they will divide up into their age-graded small groups for Bible Study.
How do I check-in my child for child care?
You can use the convenient kiosks located in the foyer of Building B to check in your child each Sunday. We have visitor check-in badges if you are just visiting and don't want to enter your information into the kiosk. Once you enter your child's information into the kiosk, you will be able to print a badge from the kiosk whenever you return. You can also utilize mobile check-in from your phone through our TBC church app.
How often do you celebrate the Lord’s Supper and who can participate?
We generally celebrate the Lord’s Supper on a quarterly basis and we believe in “open communion”.  What this means is that you do not have to be a member of our church or even a Baptist to participate. We have only two requirements:  1) that you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ and 2) that you examine yourself before partaking in the Lord’s Supper in light of 1 Cor. 11:27-29.
Do I have to be Baptist to attend your services and activities?
No. We welcome anyone to attend any part of our services or programs. Many people who attend Temple Baptist Church are from different faith backgrounds.
How can I watch the livestream?
We stream our 10:45 a.m. worship gathering every Sunday morning. You can access the live stream by going to our live stream page, or you can watch live on our TBC mobile app.
