About TBC

Who We Are

For nearly 100 years, Temple Baptist Church has been part of the Sullivan community. Through changing generations and changing times, our foundation has remained the same.

Rooted in Truth.
Focused on the Gospel.

Temple Baptist Church is a church family rooted in God’s Word, centered on Jesus Christ, and committed to following Him together. Everything we do flows from a desire to bring glory to God, advance the gospel in every generation, and help people grow in grace as faithful followers of Jesus.

Glory to God

Our Purpose

To bring glory to God in all we do. We were created for God's glory, and to that end, we seek to magnify and exalt the name of God in all that we do.
(Is 43:7; Rm 15:5-6; Eph 3:21; 1 Co 10:31).

Gospel to Generations

Our Vision

To advance the gospel in every generation. We actively share the Christian message and teachings of Jesus Christ, passing the faith from one generation to the next until Christ returns.
(Ps 78:4, 145:4; Mk 16:15-17; Eph 3:21)

Share Jesus. Make Disciples.

Our Mission

To share the gospel of grace, make disciples who follow Jesus, equip believers to live faithfully, and serve others through love and good works.
(Matthew 20:28; Galatians 5:13; John 13:14-15). (Mt 28:19-20; Rm 10:14-15; Eph 4:12)
