The Good News of Jesus Christ

The Gospel
Changes Everything

Our greatest need is to be reconciled to God.

Our greatest hope is found in Jesus Christ.

"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures." - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (ESV)

What Is The Gospel?

The word gospel means good news. It is the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ to save sinners and bring us into a right relationship with Himself.

The gospel is not a message about how we can make ourselves good enough for God. It is the announcement that God has acted in grace through Jesus Christ to do what we could never do for ourselves.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believers in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16 (ESV)

The Story of the Gospel

Five Key Truths

01. God Created Us

God created everything and made humanity in His image. We were created to know Him, worship Him, reflect His goodness, and live under His wise and loving rule. (Genesis 1:26-28; Revelation 4:11)

02. Our Sin Separates Us from God

Every one of us has sinned. We have failed to love God as we should and have chosen our own way over His. Sin brings guilt and separation from God, and we cannot overcome it through good deeds or religious activity. (Romans 3:23, 6:23)

03. Jesus Christ Came to Save Us

Because of His love and mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ.
He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in the place of sinners, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus conquered sin and death and made reconciliation with God possible. (Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Peter 3:18)

04.Salvation is God's Gift

We cannot earn forgiveness or make ourselves right with God. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. God calls us to repent of our sin and place our trust in Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith do not earn salvation; they are our response to God's gracious offer of life in Christ. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 20:21)

05. In Christ We Receive New Life

Those who trust in Christ are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life. Following Jesus does not mean we become perfect overnight. It means we belong to Him and, by the Holy Spirit, begin to grow in faith, obedience, love, and holiness. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:22-23)

06. The Promise of Eternity

Those who belong to Christ have the secure hope of eternal life. Jesus will one day return to make all things new, wipe away every tear, and fully restore creation. We look forward to spending eternity in the unhindered presence of God, experiencing complete joy and worshiping Him forever. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:3-4; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Jesus Died. Jesus Rose. Jesus Reigns

The cross shows the depth of our sin. The empty tomb proves the power of our Savior. And the risen Christ offers forgiveness, new life, and a hope that lasts forever.

How Should You Respond?
